Hot Seat: You're deep in exam prep and get offered a ₹10 LPA job today. Do you take it or decline?

Scenario to test your conviction:

You have been studying consistently for CAT for the last 5 months. You're averaging around the 85th–90th percentile in your recent mock test series.

Out of nowhere, an off-campus placement or corporate referral converts: You receive a confirmed full-time job offer for ₹10 LPA (fixed) starting next month.

You have two choices:

  • Choice A (Take the Job): Accept the offer, start working full-time, and either take CAT with limited evening prep or defer your MBA goals by 2 years. Zero gap-year risk, immediate financial independence.
  • Choice B (All-in on CAT): Decline the offer, stay completely focused on the November exam, and gamble on converting a top-tier IIM / FMS / XLRI / SPJIMR with a ₹25L+ average CTC.

Be brutally honest: what are you choosing right now, and why?
